Saxophone

DJ Lee was born in Malaysia, where he began playing the saxophone at twelve years of age. He was very active in his school band until his family moved to the United States in 2017. Speaking very little English, DJ found community in his new school’s music program where he met Conner Williams.

The two began to play music together often in many formats including jazz bands, church choirs, and street performances. At Conner’s recommendation, DJ joined CHESS, becoming an integral part of the band’s unique sound. DJ is affectionately known as “Dr. Lee” accredited with a PHD in swagger.
